Alors, something I’ve wanted to share since we shot it! The more I work locally, the more I come to realise that Australia is such a breeding ground for some of the industry’s greatest talents. It’s something in the water – or something in the light, perhaps. Maybe early swims in the ocean build our creative brains. Who the hell knows. I just know I like it.
A few weeks ago, I was the only dork on set pinching myself to be working with some of our most celebrated artists, and a fresh new face from IMG by the name of Erin who is set to impress Riccardo Tisci, because if you’re not getting Givenchy vibes from this bone structure, you’re on the wrong planet. Riccardo, take note.
I’m going to be honest – I’m not one of those straight-faced, blasé people who sails around without idols. For that reason, I probably won’t be the best barrister in the book – I’m far too emotional (emotive is likely a better word) for that. Indeed, the first time I shot with Pierre, I had nothing short of a fan-girl moment. The first time Renya, I think I nearly cried. And the first time I worked with Allison, she had to leave before we could finish both shoots, and I wanted to tell her after every frame how great the make-up looked. So, Voilà – hope you love this editorial as much as we loved making it.
