I was never good at Tetris. As soon as the blocks started dropping faster and the intolerably electronic music picked up its pace, it was like Jaws was coming at me from the depths of the ocean, and I didn't have the momentary panicked logic to punch him in the nose (as if you would think of that when you're about to be totaled by a Great White!?). And so, I'd just palm the game off to my brother - the bad dream was over. His name is Major, after all (granted, I am basically destined for failure).
Then 2013 came along, and as it would seem, I became an OCD freak, and suddenly everything fell into place (how puntastic). If you have been following my image safari over at Instagram, then you'll be quite familiar with my flat-lay parties that somehow say so much more about my day and what I'm up to than any Tweet or lengthy body of text manages to do. Further to that, there's something so completely satisfying about managing to fit the entire contents of your handbag, and the bag itself, into one perfectly jigsawed square. Am I a freak? I'm a freak.
Recently, a lot of you have been asking if I will do more formally shot versions of these on the blog once a week, rather than just a hastily assembled phone shot for Instagram. Any takers? Is that something you'd all like?
On a slightly different note, if anybody would like to know where any of my pieces above are from, just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you with a link ASAP.
Sorry about the short one today, guys - I'm in manic 24/7 mode busting out as much work, content and as many meetings as possible before I fly out of dear Sydney this Thursday for something exciting.
I'll be sure to keep you all updated as much as I can!
