The first story of a campaign shot by yours truly for lovely Geneva Vanderzeil's Tony Bianco collection
When it comes to creative processes, I am certainly of the view that less is more - the fewer parties you have involved, the faster you work and the clearer your vision. While my lovely friend Geneva was in Sydney (she spends her days creating cool things in Hong Kong), I had the opportunity to shoot and style the campaign for this excellent collection of shoes that she has designed for Tony Bianco. It's quite interesting to see the difference between shooting a clotheshorse, as a model tends to be, as opposed to a personality - while shooting this first story, we were really looking to express Geneva's lifestyle, DIY prowess, and how these (freaking awesome) heels jigsaw into that - something, I'm sure, a lot of us relate to.
I had the challenge of quite inconsistent lighting on the day (we'd postponed from the previous day of absolutely bucketing rain in Sydney), but I'm very happy with the outcome (G-Van's all round babedom was hugely contributory to this fact - hello legs eleven!), and hope you all enjoy the imagery as much as you enjoy the shoes!
I'll have the second story up over the weekend, so keep an eye out.
