NYFW: Tibi SS13

The ladies at Tibi and I, alike, were all exceptionally excited about the Spring/Summer 13 show.

First of all, I have to apologise for my silence this week: aside from regular #foodstagrams, the TOPSHOP Sydney opening, and a little Gorman shoot, I've been completely swamped with Uni work (partially a flow-on from my brief gallivant in New York City, and partially because this time of semester is generally a killer). But irrelevance - I'm back, and ready to inundate you all with the rest of my overseas activities, and a few exciting projects coming right up.

The ladies at Tibi and I, alike, were all exceptionally excited about the Spring/Summer 13 show - even more so, Amy's new direction in her design and show venue. Needless to say, the evening did not disappoint: backstage, I was struck by the refreshing take on double boxy layering, denim and leather, and curved paneling over the straight up and down that was popular amongst silk-inclined designers that week. In the harsher light of runway, I was further surprised by how much movement and night-time intrigue such mixable, matchable and such well sculpted pieces could communicate. You'll have to watch the video to see what I mean!

P.S. How amazing do Xiao Wen and Codie Young look in my Polaroid snaps?

*love*
