My favourite MidCity hats and a trick of the eye...

My Midcity Hat
Apart from some serious beanie action in February's brutal New York chill, and my favourite leather cap, I haven't so much as looked at a quality hat - most probably because I always have weird visor sunglasses on my head. But with an overcast Spring morning and my last installment of me-fun for MidCity, who can resist a good selection of my favourite headgear and inevitable hat hair for some sunnier days? Embrace the hat hair.

I don't think I've ever learnt to produce a new medium so fast - a record two hours to bust these moving babies out. Today's sleepy, early morning breeze worked so well with the subtleties I was after: an approach I think everyone should use when picking your staple hats too. You still want a little bit of movement around your face for some degree of effortlessness regardless of what you're wearing. Take the awesome denim cap, for example - as much as it's a boyish, easygoing head get-up, the rigid structure needs a few flyaways to make it look finished (not like you just jammed it on your face). In the same way, that beach hat could so easily be worn with a more severe and slick bun, since the brim has a life of its own.
How do you like my little moving pictures? Want more?
Happy Weekend, beauties.
