Before heading to Tibi's SS13 Fashion Week show (more on that later), I a bit of time silently admiring the city skyline from Nicola's rooftop.
How Sara and I ended up getting snap happy on the most perfect New York City rooftop is a fabulously Lonely Planet story. I'd seen Nicola and the awesome floral pants she'd been wearing on our flight from LA to NYC, and upon running into her again at the bag carousel at JFK, decided to hedge my bets on sharing a cab into Manhattan. Several Thai dinners, a Chipotle lunch, and a few spontaneous frozen yoghurt dates later, Nic was so kind as to show us this rooftop of hers one evening when there wasn't a cloud in sight and the city was sparkling with lights (and I should write songs for Miley Cyrus, because ladies and gentlemen: that rhymed).
The next day, before heading to Tibi's SS13 Fashion Week show (more on that later), we spent a bit of time silently admiring the city skyline and unrelenting early-Fall sun that seemed to make everything so much sharper, seven floors from street level.
My new favourite earrings certainly agreed - in all their blinged out glory, they were a perfect complement to the matte forest green on this V-neck, and its adorably coordinated wide-leg pants to match - I'm not sure that you can see the print, but they're tiny birdies in green and white on a navy background.
It was love at first sight.
More NYFW activity than you ever wanted coming your way!
