NYFW: Theysken’s Theory SS13 BACKSTAGE

Being backstage at Theysken’s Theory’s SS13 show was a production in itself.

Being backstage at Theysken’s Theory‘s SS13 show was a production in itself. The Post Office is such a wildly huge space without the emptiness of the Chelsea Piers (more on that later), so it was fantastic to be amongst the team and behind that backdrop.

I was definitely most intrigued by Olivier’s textures this season. With the cropped wet-look hair, luminously bare MAC makeup, the odd blue or seaweed tinge, and a progressively greater degree of sparkle and third-dimension in the pieces, the collection didn’t roam too far from the brands classic, menswear shapes, and perfectly tailored waistlines, but certainly pushed a colour gradient that I hadn’t expected. In a good way, of course.

At the end of the day, perhaps his blacks are too dark for me (though that leather bomber jacket tore me to shreds). I swooned over the embellished jacquard backless jumpsuit, and the ice blue pantsuit. Though I’ll certainly be buttoning up my blazers as tops for that ultimate V-neck appeal.

How are you enjoying my NYFW videos?

I hope you’re enjoying all these backstage sneak peeks!
