Easy Breezy

I adore the splits on these shorts – I got them a size up just so I could wear them a little longer under tops with similar splits, and both garments could bask in each other’s coordinated split glory.

Rachel Gilbert Top – TOPSHOP Sporty Silk Shorts (similar here and here) Antoine + Stanley Ash Glasses

While I sit here freezing my face off and explaining Ansoff’s growth model to the wall, I’m definitely dreaming of this sunnier (albeit windier) day a few months ago, when Z and I spent the morning shooting a sports luxe storm. You’re all familiar with this tank that became a favourite of mine during Fashion Week for its white trim and boxy silhouette – I find Rachel Gilbert’s separates so much more accessible and versatile between day and night. Speaking of which, she’s participating in today’s VOGUE Fashion Night Out too, so that’s something to take advantage of!

Apparently, since I bought these perfect shorts, they’ve sold out (not surprised: awesome-score is astronomical), but TOPSHOP has done a pull-on version and a tuck-front version in the exact same colour and silk. For these in particular, I adore the splits on each side – I got them a size up just so I could wear them a little longer under tops with splits like this one, and both garments could bask in each other’s coordinated split glory. I’ve been thinking that they’d look kind of awesome over tight leather pants too, given that they worked over Nike leggings.

Or perhaps I’m just a loser.

P.S. I’m loving all your suggestions on Facebook and yesterday’s post for where I should sell my wardrobe. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to do some reading.

*love*
