This coat is definitely the most beautiful piece of outerwear I own: the tailoring is all-round perfect, the sleeve detail is sharp, and the wool blend is warm but breathable.
I really struggled with shooting these couple of photos for you guys on Monday afternoon - the sun was setting impossibly quickly and one can only dash back and forth so fast in these babies designed by Jennifer Hawkins for SIREN. You did well, J-Hawk... but they're my only pair of heels that I can't run in. Having said that, I did manage to power walk to dinner with my boy immediately after - all credit to the ankle cuffs (and then some to the soles that curve exactly to my ridiculously high arches).
Stylestalker's latest collection is one of my favourite to date (have you seen that shoot with Alexandra Spencer?), and the sneaky cut-outs and twisting/ruching/whatever of this dress sing those praises. Sleeves pushed up and a throwover coat pulls back the body-con factor a little bit. I used to be a lot more comfortable in body-con - now, not as much (I must be getting old) - but I love that there are ways around it. I'm thinking about this dress as a top tucked into wide leg pants. Capiche?
This coat is definitely the most beautiful piece of outerwear I own: the tailoring is all-round perfect, the sleeve detail is sharp, and the wool blend is warm but breathable. The best part, though, is that it was only $99 (win) - and because I love it so much, Mary kindly let me give you guys 20% off that with codeword ZHA20 at checkout (more win). Of course, you can use it for anything in the store, but I'm biased and you need this coat.
I don't know what my hair's doing - clearly in desperate need of a haircut. Any suggestions?
