I’m a great believer in clashing prints, but I do find that it’s a little bit too much eye-abuse if the prints are of the same size, or if there’s too much colour involved. Here’s the solution.

Mister Zimi Aztec Tee Top – By Malene Birger Cream and Black Dani Printed Trousers – Alexander Wang Heels – Photos by Mark Condon

I was introduced to Mark Condon and his work late last year, and since then, we’ve been meaning to collaborate in one way or another. We ended up shooting my favourite looks for autumn in the early hours of the morning a few days ago – I definitely need to get back to that park just after sunrise for warm fuzzies and potential photos. In the mean time, be sure to check out more of Mark’s work here and likey-like on Facebook right here.

I’m a great believer in clashing prints, but I do find that it’s a little bit too much eye-abuse if the prints are of the same size, or  if there’s too much colour involved. Next to the angular Aztec display of this stunning Mister Zimi tee, these trousers are almost organic, and complementary to the earthy tones on the top-half, rather than intrusive. Admittedly it helps that the pair the Bespoke girls lent me are a size up – this is generally a solution to all aesthetic problems that involve ‘too much going on’.

I scored these Alexander Wang heels for nothing more than $80 at the Barney’s Warehouse Sale while I was in New York. In my size. Impossibly comfortable. Ankle straps. Enough said. Watch this space.
