Grounds for Lime

I’ve always thought of neon as a pop of colour to breathe some life into what would otherwise be hopeless boring, and never would have considered a combination of two equally electric pieces.

3.1 Phillip Lim Orange Bright Silk Shirt from My Wardrobe – This is Genevieve Grounds for Divorce’ Shorts in Lime – Foley + Corinna Colour Block Clutch – Antoine + Stanley ‘Ash’ Reflector Glasses

For those of you who couldn’t get enough of the neon lace shorts I posted yesterday, get a piece of this in the flesh. I’ve always thought of neon as a pop of colour to breathe some life into what would otherwise be hopeless boring, and never (ever) would have considered a combination of two equally electric pieces. Somehow, the boyish fit of this shirt balances out with the (cheeky) femininity of the shorts, and the orange and lime complement each other perfectly.

I could think of nothing better than to finish off with black and white accessories. I was introduced to Foley + Corinna while in New York, and I have to say that their work is pretty awesome (check it out here). Case in point: this clutch. It opens and folds whichever way you like, and it fits so much stuff. Definitely had a law textbook in there at one point.

A law textbook.

The clutch has been indefinitely married to my H&M pants and these brilliant reflective shades that the Bespoke girls proudly presented to me last week. People just get confused when they’re talking to you, and there’s no harm in adding a bit of Sci-fi to whatever you decided to throw on that morning.

I wouldn’t mind trying a head-to-toe neon lime.

What do you think? Would I qualify for Pedestrian’s Bachelorette of the Year if I did?

P.S. Have you told me your favourite song yet? Do you want awesome headphones or what?

*love*
