As the cooler weather rolls in Down Under, I'm going to rewind a couple of months to one impossibly cold day of New York Fashion Week. DIESEL's Black Gold show had Elin Kling's name written all over it, right down to every last low and tousled ponytail. And she knew it. I saw her across the runway, appreciating every look for its dark palette, perfect leather outerwear, cropped culotte lengths and ankle straps. I, for one, feel in love with far too many leather jackets in the ten minutes the collection took to walk (quite spectacularly, mind you - smoke machines, UV light, strange frame structures, and a full house to say the least).
On top of that, I was pleasantly surprised at the more refined aesthetic - the boyish charm was still there, but the cropping, tailoring, and brilliant arm candy fell nothing short of some significantly badass babe.
What do you guys think? Can you see yourself in those divine jackets?
