Psychedelic flowers (I love my fish-eye) – 6. One of a million Wi-fi stops – 7. Magical LA sunsets – 8. Strawberries in a salad was the best idea Tula’s ever came up with- 9. I suck at Tetris (BlackBerry Playbook and Bold 9900) – 10. Walking the walk – 11. Chuck Norris wears RMK Bello flats12. Hollywood Boulevard – 13. Mossinator – I still love you – 14. C’est douce – 15. Super awesome hair masters at Essensuals London on Melrose – 16. It took so much willpower to walk away from this Renington in a teeny North Hollywood vintage boutique – 17. Hair-braiding skills, hanging out in the Beverly Garland lobby – 18. California dreaming – 19. Home time… And I’m back! I was going to apologise for being offline for the most part of four days (who am I kidding I was chained to my BlackBerry and PlayBook…), but looking at my 700+ unread inbox and incredible quantity of photos to sift through and share, I’m glad I took some time off. So, before we get back down to business with what I’ve been loving, wearing, shopping, New-Yorking, I thought I’d share a little photodiary as well as a list of my favourite places in LA. Tula’s Restaurant at the Beverly Garland Hotel: They had the best South Mexican buffet on my last day, and the Wild Mushroom Risotto is quite something.Aroma Café on Tujunga Avenue: I don’t even know how big this place is, but it’s a beautiful maze of good food, good soy chai lattes, books, vintage furniture and bric-a-brac, and clusters of tables with people talking about their famous friends of friends of friends. I spent at least three hours sitting here people-watching and soaking up afternoon sun.Taste on Melrose Avenue: Such an alive atmosphere – grilled vegetable salad was a winner with Morgan, Estefany and Kat.Beige on Beverly Boulevard: Such a sweet boutique of beautiful mid-luxury pieces, but with the most unreal sale rack of all time – $99 Camilla Skovgaards? Dead serious. The Reformationon West 3rd St: I’ve never gone back to a store the next day for a piece before, but for the 20 hours after I tried one of the jumpsuits, I couldn’t stop thinking/talking/crying about it… so now it’s mine. Can’t wait to share :) Dietch PR‘s rooftop: I can’t think of a better way to have seen downtown LA – the view was phenomenal – and the ladies at Dietch are the kind you want to be your best friends.MILK on West 3rd St: Kat got an amazing dress for $40… down from $400. Such cute local design talent too.All About The Bread on Melrose Avenue: Estefany brought us here for dinner on our last night in LA and the House Sandwich with the works, and the Honey Lime Chicken Sandwich are freaking awesome. Get there. Now.Essensuals London on Melrose Avenue: I had such a fun afternoon here getting my hair cut by the talented Katy, and hanging out with the super fun team in a beautiful space. Have you ever been to a hair salon that – if you’re in LA: ☎ +1 3237828882. Hollywood Walk of Fame: Super touristy, but it was still a ridiculous amount of fun – especially with the Academy Awards being set up right alongside all the stars.A huge thank you to the Beverly Garland Hotel for hosting me (more on that later) – never fear, City of Angels… I’ll be back. There’s too much I haven’t seen yet! Have you guys been to LA? Where are your favourite places to go? *love* xx
