Yesterday morning I tripped on out to The Westin and sat down for a solid chat with the lovely Shelley Craft about the fantastic new Hanger Nation, and the personal style journey that lead up to the point of its creation. In an age of the online, social media, and a lagging television industry, Shelley is certainly adapting very quickly. The Hanger Nation app is certainly a very effective way of having access to a range of Australian labels in one place at one time – I’m eagerly awaiting its launch on Blackberry, but for the time being, I’ll happily look over the shoulders of those on iPhones and iPads as the app grows and makes both online and brick-and-mortar shopping that much easier. The time factor is definitely advantageous for Shelley – I honestly don’t know how she balances constant filming, flying between cities, and a 16-month-old Milla – so I have a huge amount of respect in that she still finds the time to think about what she’s wearing, construct looks on the go and stay creatively inspired. So hopefully you all enjoy your 5 minutes getting to know Shelley and how Hanger Nation came about. She is such a down to earth, genuinely sweet person, so I’m so excited to be sharing this little feature with you all! Be sure to check out the website and the app just in time for this manic shopping season! *love* xx
