So it seems that I have an obsession with up-and-comers of every sort… though it’s not often that I’m a bit lost as to where to start about an up-and-coming designer. Aleksandra Wisniewskanot only has the coolest spelling of Alexandra I’ve ever seen (Alexandra being the only one) – she also maintains an insane amount happening in each piece, but somehow manages to keep it simple and not at all overwhelming as you’d expect.
Needless to say, I’m in awe of her knit (cable cable cable), ruching (see below: enough said), prints (almost a McQueen vibe), and razor-sharp cuts that set her more than a little apart from 500 naked mannequins.
But I have to say… this cable-knitted-shoulder-pad dress is the absolute epitome of the knit criteria for my wardrobe this winter. Ladies and Gentlemen – I’m in love:
This amazing lookbook was shot by the very talented Charles-Elie Lathion. Lust away, friends.
Check out more of Aleksandra’s work HERE.
And happy Friday! I’m exhausted – I promise the unveiling of what’s in the box will occur soon.
